The Cat and the Moon is a one-woman operation creating unusual, magical jewellery somewhere in the English countryside.
Inspired by the earth, the heavens, nature and animals, music, literature and folklore, The Cat and the Moon produces jewellery that tells a tale; a summer evening, an unusual find on a beach, a perfect frosty morning... Little stories in silver and stone.
Handcrafted in sterling, other accent metals and various gemstones, The Cat and the Moon produces one of a kind pieces - no two are the same.
There are no production lines here, each piece is made by me, by hand. This means they may feature 'imperfections'; this doesn't change the wearability or beauty of a piece, but rather is evidence of the human hands behind the creation.
We're sorry, but we do not accept custom orders.
Purchasing is possible through periodic updates of a limited number of pieces.
Forthcoming updates will be announced in advance via Instagram.
Although I try to offer a range of ring sizes, it may be that not every size is catered for in one particular update, but may well be in the next. If you're waiting for a piece to come up in your size, feel free to drop me a line to request it, and I'll do my best to include rings of that size in future.
Please be certain of your ring size prior to purchasing. Generally speaking, narrower bands are more forgiving, and wider ones will fit more snugly.
I aim to package up and ship your purchases ASAP, but please allow five working days in case I'm especially busy. I ship anywhere in the world, and always send via a signed-for method.
Please be aware that your parcel can be subject to customs charges in your country.
Care of your Jewellery
Your jewellery is made to last, but care still needs to be taken to ensure its longevity. Please don't wear your jewellery in contact with water or chemicals, or in any situation where it may be subject
to knocks or blows. Store the piece out of direct sunlight, and preferably away from anything which may scratch or damage the piece. Day to day polishing can be achieved by wiping over with a soft cloth. For a deeper clean, the bright silver areas of your piece can be cleaned with a little toothpaste and a soft baby toothbrush. Please be aware that cleaning chemicals will remove any patina applied to your piece, and may damage any stone set into it.
You may find that any patina applied to your jewellery fades or changes over time. Fading can be reduced by avoiding cleaning the dark areas of your piece. Alteration of the patina is a natural
process, influenced by your environment and body chemistry.
Much time, effort and love goes into creating your piece, and each piece is made to last. If you should happen to experience any issue with your jewellery please do contact us via email. Do make sure of your ring size prior to ordering; as we are unable to refund in the event the wrong size has been chosen.
